On the morning of February 26, Comrade Ta Anh Tuan, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, visited and encouraged healthcare workers and physicians at several medical facilities in the province on the occasion of the 71st anniversary of Vietnamese Physicians' Day (February 27, 1955 - February 27, 2026).
Also participating in the working delegation were leaders of the Department of Health, ward People's Committees and relevant units.
At the visited sites, Comrade Ta Anh Tuan received briefings on the current situation of medical examination and treatment activities, the state of facilities and equipment, and the difficulties and shortcomings in the operation of medical establishments in meeting the current treatment and healthcare needs of the people.

At Buon Ma Thuot General Hospital, Comrade Ta Anh Tuan presented flowers to congratulate the leadership and medical staff. He acknowledged and commended the significant contributions of the hospital's collective staff in providing healthcare to the people. From an initial scale of about 100 beds, the hospital has developed to 280 beds, with facilities and equipment gradually being invested in, contributing to easing the burden on higher-level facilities.
Comrade Ta Anh Tuan emphasized that healthcare personnel must make effective use of equipment, continuously improve professional qualifications and medical ethics to master technology. He called on staff to make greater efforts to serve the people and provide increasingly better patient care.
The Chairman expressed the hope that the hospital will continue to uphold the tradition of solidarity, promptly complete its leadership team, innovate management, standardize procedures, and improve the quality of medical examination and treatment services for local residents and neighboring areas.

To meet the increasing demand for healthcare amid rapid population growth and complex epidemics, Comrade Ta Anh Tuan requested that the Provincial Traditional Medicine Hospital proactively combine modern medicine and traditional medicine, emphasize preserving and promoting valuable traditional remedies in patient care, and develop a proposal to upgrade and expand the hospital to match population scale with a long-term vision to meet the medical examination and treatment needs of residents inside and outside the province.
Comrade Ta Anh Tuan asked the Department of Health to coordinate with the Department of Construction to advise on a planning proposal for land to expand the hospital, consistent with population scale and the development orientation of the new Dak Lak province. The Provincial People's Committee will concentrate resources for investment in the health sector, pay attention to attracting investment and formulating comprehensive healthcare policies from the provincial to grassroots levels, and improve service quality at health facilities in the new period.
