As part of the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival, the Buon Don Elephant Festival in 2025 stands out as a prominent event, attracting the attention of both domestic and international tourists. This festival not only honors the traditional culture of the ethnic groups in the Central Highlands but also contributes to tourism promotion and raises awareness regarding elephant conservation.

By 2025, Dak Lak province is focusing on completing new tourism products to stimulate the domestic tourism market. The tourism sector aims for total revenue from tourism to reach 1.6 trillion VND and total visitor arrivals to hit 2 million.

On February 2, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Dak Lak Province, Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu, announced that during the 5-day Tet holiday from January 28 to February 1, 2025 (corresponding to the 29th day of the last lunar month of the Year of the Dragon 2024 until the 4th day of the lunar New Year - the Year of the Snake 2025), the total number of tourists and revenue from tourism activities in the area saw a significant increase compared to the previous year.

On the morning of January 1st, at Buon Ma Thuot Airport, the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Dak Lak province organized a welcome for the 1.5 millionth tourist and the first tourist group arriving in Dak Lak on the occasion of New Year 2025, with the message “Dak Lak - A safe and friendly destination, rich in Central Highlands identity.”

The Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism will coordinate with provincial departments, sectors, and enterprises to organize cultural, sports, and tourism activities in April and May 2024. These are practical activities to celebrate the 49th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2024); International Workers' Day on May 1st; the 70th anniversary of the Dien Bien Phu Victory (May 7, 1954 - May 7, 2024); and the 134th anniversary of President Ho Chi Minh's birthday (May 19, 1890 - May 19, 2024).

The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has issued Decision No. 393/QD-BVHTTDL dated February 21, 2024, on the announcement of the List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage for 26 heritage sites of provinces and cities nationwide. In which, the social customs and beliefs of the Mo Muong in Dak Lak have been listed in this List of National Intangible Cultural Heritage.
