On 2nd March, the Provincial People’s Committee held a meeting with the Subcommittee on Drought Prevention and Fight to evaluate the situation of irrigation water resources for production as well as take measures of drought fight in Winter-Spring crop of 2015-2016. The attendees were representatives of Departments, Boards and Sectors, People’s Committees of districts, Town and City. Standing Vice Chairman Y Dham Enuol chaired the meeting.

On 1st March 2016, Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a meeting for feedback collection to complete the Project on the recognition and legitimization of Elephant and Dug-out Canoes Racing Festivals on Lak Lake. Attending the meeting was representatives of the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, People’s Committee of Lak District and relevant departments and sectors.

On February 25th 2016, the delegation of Viet Nam Maritime Administration (Ministry of Transport) had a meeting with the Provincial People’s Committee related to the Plan on dry port development until 2020, with an orientation toward 2030 to improve the quality and ensure the uniformity, synchronization under the local development plan. Ms. H'Yim Kdoh - Vice Chairman of the PPC and heads of relevant departments, sectors received the delegation. Among those present of the Delegation were Mr. Do Hong Thai - Deputy Director of the Vietnam Maritime Administration and representatives of Quy Nhon, and Khanh Hoa Port authorities.

On Feb 29th 2016, the Provincial People’s Committee held a preliminary conference chaired by Standing Vice Chairman Y Dham Enuol to sum up the Feb’s and implement the March’s tasks of socio-economic development and defense-security maintenance.

A delegation of the U.S. Embassy led by Ambassador Ted Osius paid a visit to Dak Lak on September 22, aiming at learning about the provincial socio-economic development, seeking investment and cooperation opportunities in the near future. Mr. Y Dham Enoul – PPC Standing Vice Chairman, and representatives from relevant departments welcomed the delegation.

In 2015, Dak Lak Province has made a good implementation of guidelines and policies of the Party and State on external relations, proactive and positive international integration and strengthened traditional friendship and investment cooperation; with practical results, the external relations activities have helped raise Dak Lak’s position and image, foster socio-economic development and safeguard the provincial security and defense.
