On May 13th, the Conference on reviewing the implementation of credit policies for sustainable coffee development in the Central Highlands and Southeastern regions was held by the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD), State Bank of Vietnam (SBV), and World Bank.

A memorial service and burial ceremony was held by the Provincial Party Committee, People’s Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee at a martyr cemetery on May 11 to rebury the remains of Vietnamese martyrs, voluntary soldiers and experts who laid down their lives in Cambodia during wartime.

A dissemination Conference on election of 14th National Assembly (NA) and all-level People’s Council deputies for 2016-2021 tenure was held on May 12 with the participation of Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong - Member of the Party Central Committee, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Pham Minh Tan - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi - Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee. The Conference was chaired by Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee cum Head of the Provincial Steering Board for Election Committee Eban Y Phu.

On May 4, Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) held a preliminary conference chaired by Chairman Pham Ngoc Nghi to sum up results of socio-economic development and defense-security maintenance in April and perform tasks in May.

Dak Lak PPC had a working session with the delegation of Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency-Ministry of Industry and Trade (MIT) led by Deputy Director General Ta Hoang Linh on attending the 13th China-ASEAN Expo (CAEXPO) taking place in Nanning city, Guangxi province of China in December 2016 with the aim of promoting trade and image of Dak Lak province. Receiving the delegation were Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh-Vice Chairman of the PPC and representatives of relevant departments and sectors.

On April 26, an inspection delegation of the National Assembly (NA) Standing Committee and National Election Council, led by To Lam- Politburo Member, Minister of Public Security, and Member of the National Election Council inspected preparations for the election in Dak Lak province.
