On February 2, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism of Dak Lak Province, Nguyen Thuy Phuong Hieu, announced that during the 5-day Tet holiday from January 28 to February 1, 2025 (corresponding to the 29th day of the last lunar month of the Year of the Dragon 2024 until the 4th day of the lunar New Year - the Year of the Snake 2025), the total number of tourists and revenue from tourism activities in the area saw a significant increase compared to the previous year.

On the morning of February 3, the provincial People's Committee organized a New Year's meeting to assess the situation before, during, and after the Lunar New Year festival of the Year of the Snake 2025.

On the afternoon of February 5, the Communication Subcommittee for the 9th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival 2025 organized a New Year meeting for the festival's media ambassadors, including the 2017 Miss Universe Vietnam, Top 5 Miss Universe 2018 H’Hen Nie, and the 2024 Vietnam Tourism Ambassador, Dinh Thi Hoa.

On February 6, the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and the Vietnam Fatherland Front of Dak Lak Province solemnly organized a meeting with representatives of intellectuals, artists, and the media to commemorate the beginning of the Year of the Snake 2025.

In 2024, the People's Committee of Dak Lak Province signed three new international agreements with the provincial government of Mondulkiri (Cambodia), the provincial government of Orkhon (Mongolia), and the municipal government of Nevers (France). These agreements not only expand opportunities for cooperation in the fields of agriculture, tourism, health care, and culture but also strengthen friendly relations, establishing a solid foundation for sustainable cooperative development.

On January 22, a delegation from Attapeu Province, Laos, visited Dak Lak Province to extend traditional Lunar New Year greetings. The group was led by Mr. Bun Sot - Set Thi Lat, a member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, who is also the Chairman of the Laos - Vietnam Friendship Association.
