Many localities are experiencing floods and severe damages due to prolonged heavy rain
The Provincial Committee for Disaster Prevention, Search, and Rescue of the province reported that many areas have been flooded, and the damages caused by the prolonged heavy rain are increasing rapidly. As of 4:00 PM on August 1st, the districts of Lắk, Krông Ana, Ea Súp, and Krông Bông have been affected by localized flooding in some low-lying areas. A total of 4,551 hectares of crops have been submerged, including 4,012 hectares of rice, 481 hectares of flowers, 57.5 hectares of perennial trees, and 6.6 hectares of fish farming ponds. Additionally, some infrastructure facilities related to irrigation and transportation have been damaged due to landslides.
