To prepare for the working session with the European Commission (EC) inspection team scheduled for 13 and 14 March, Dak Lak Province is urgently implementing a range of measures to address shortcomings in combating Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated (IUU) fishing. From tightening vessel management and controlling landing volumes at ports to raising awareness among fishermen and enterprises, provincial authorities and sectors are making coordinated efforts with the determination to help the country promptly lift the EC's IUU yellow card warning.
