On September 5, the opening ceremony of the 2016-2017 academic year was held by Nguyen Du High School for the Gifted in the joyful atmosphere of a back-to-school festival. Attending the ceremony were Secretary of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee Eban Y Phu and representatives from relevant departments, sectors.

On September 1st, the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) held a Conference chaired by Chairman of the PPC Pham Ngoc Nghi on reviewing the performance of socio-economic development task, safeguarding national defense and security in the province and setting up tasks of September, 2016.

In the morning of September 2nd, a national flag-saluting ceremony was conducted by the emulation cluster No. 4 under the jurisdiction of provincial Youth Union, Buon Ma Thuot city Youth Union and Youth Union of provincial Public Security to celebrate the 71st National Day of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam. This is a meaningful activity in fostering national spirit, national pride and patriotism of the young generations today.

In the evening of September 1st, Dak Lak Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism held a gala “sons of the mountains” to mark the 71st anniversary of August Revolution and the National Day (September 2nd) as well as honor three Ede artists including: People’s Artist, Meritorious Artist and Folk Artisan living in Dak Lak province. Attending the event were Mr. Eban Y Phu – Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Pham Minh Tan – Deputy Permanent Secretary of Provincial Party Committee, Mr. Y Bier Nie – Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council, leaders of Departments, sectors as well as artists and people in the whole province.

On August 26th, the Dak Lak Department of Education and Training (DOET) held a conference to review academic year 2015-2016 and to start academic year 2016-2017. Participants included Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Council Y Bier Nie, Vice Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Committee H’Yim Kdoh, and other leaders of relevant Departments and sectors.

On August 26, a delegation of Asian Development Bank (ADB) and Agriculture and Rural Development Ministry (MARD) led by Mr. Jiang Feng Zhang-Director of Natural Resources, Environment and Agriculture Department, Southeast Asia (ADB Bank) had a working session with provinces of the Central Highlands to consult about agricultural Projects in the period of 2017-2020. Attending the meeting were representatives from Gia Lai, Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Kon Tum and Dak Lak provinces. Representing Dak Lak province were Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Nguyen Tuan Ha, leaders of PPC’s Office and relevant Departments, sectors.
