In the morning of March 30th, the Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) and Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) co-organized a workshop for improvement of provincial business environment and competitive capacity in 2017. The workshop attracted the participation of the Vice Chairmen and Vice Chairwoman of PPC as well as leaders of VCCI, the Central Institute for Economic Management (CIEM), departments, sectors and enterprises in the province.

On March 11th, a workshop on the Central Highlands Agriculture Development was held by Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development (MARD) in coordination with the Central Highlands Steering Committee and Vietnam National University of Agriculture (VNUA). The workshop was attended by Mr. To Lam - Member of the Politburo, Minister of Public Security, Head of the Central Highlands Steering Committee; Mr. Cao Duc Phat - Member of the Party Central Committee (PCC), Standing Vice Head of the Party Central Committee Commission for Economics; Mr. Dieu Kré - Member of the PCC, Standing Vice Head of the Central Highlands Steering Committee; Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong - Member of the PCC, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee together with representatives of relevant ministries, provincial People's Committee, typical farmers, scientists.

On the afternoon of March 11th, Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee organized a bilateral meeting with potential partners to exchange information on cooperation in the next time as a part of the 4th Investment Promotion Conference in the Central Highlands 2017. Standing Vice Chairman of PPC Nguyen Hai Ninh and leaders of relevant departments, sectors attended the meeting.

On the occasion of the participation in the 6th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival and Central Highlands Gong Culture Festival 2017, on the afternoon of March 10th, Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc visited cadres and people in Khue Ngoc Dien commune, Krong Bong district as part of his tour of Dak Lak province. Accompanying the PM were representatives of ministries, sectors, and branches. For the Dak Lak province’s side, there were Mr. Eban Y Phu – Secretary of the Provincial Party’s Committee, Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi – Chairman of the Provincial People’s Committee cum Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party’s Committee as well as representatives of relevant departments, leaders of Krong Bong district, cadres and people in Khue Ngoc Dien commune.

On 11th March afternoon, Mr. Kawaue Junichi – Japanese Consul General and his working delegation paid a courtesy call to Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha - Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee on the occasion of attending the 6th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival and Central Highlands Gong Culture Festival 2017 (the Festival).

The final round of the 4th Vietnam barista competition 2017 took place at the central stage of the Specialized Exhibition of Coffee in the evening of March 9th.
