On the morning of December 19, the Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee, in collaboration with Xuan Thien Group, officially held the groundbreaking ceremony for the High-End Resort Project on Cu Lao Mai Nha Island in O Loan. This project is among more than 230 key projects nationwide commenced or inaugurated to celebrate the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party.

The ceremony was attended by senior provincial leadership, including Comrade Cao Thi Hoa An, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Comrade Huynh Thi Chien Hoa, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Comrade Tran Huu The, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Permanent Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak province; Comrade Huynh Lu Tan, Member of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee and Head of the Phu Yen Economic Zone Management Board; Comrade Dao My, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; former provincial leaders from the eastern region over various periods, along with representatives from relevant departments, sectors, localities, and Xuan Thien Group.
Leaders of Dak Lak Province and Xuan Thien Group, together with distinguished delegates, performed the groundbreaking ceremony to officially commence the project.
With a total investment of 4.998 trillion VND, the project aims to establish a synchronous, modern resort complex aligned with the province’s tourism master plan. Spanning approximately 136.77 hectares of land and 59.18 hectares of water, the development will feature high-rise hotels, luxury villas, ecological tourism zones, and marine sports facilities. Notably, the project includes a statue and temple dedicated to Saint Giong and a cable car system connecting the mainland to the island, blending economic development with cultural preservation and national security.

The project will be executed in two phases. Phase 1 is expected to conclude in the first quarter of 2028, focusing on essential infrastructure. Phase 2, slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2030, will expand accommodation capacity and finalize specialized components.

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Huy Hoang, General Director of Xuan Thien Group, affirmed the group's unwavering commitment to mobilizing maximum resources to ensure the project is implemented strictly according to planning and on schedule. He emphasized that the group would prioritize high-quality construction and strict adherence to all legal regulations. Furthermore, Mr. Hoang underscored the importance of environmental protection, highlighting that the project aims to bridge high-end tourism with sustainable development to benefit Dak Lak Province's socio-economic landscape. Once operational, the resort complex is projected to become a significant economic driver, generating approximately 1 trillion VND in annual revenue and contributing substantially to the state budget. Beyond the financial impact, the project is expected to create stable employment for 1,500 to 2,000 workers, aiding in regional economic restructuring and fostering long-term growth for the local tourism sector.

Comrade Dao My, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, emphasized that the groundbreaking ceremony marks more than just the start of construction; it serves as a concrete testament to the province's determination to realize its coastal economic development strategy. He noted that the project is expected to create significant momentum for the tourism and service sectors, directly contributing to regional economic growth, job creation, and the overall improvement of the quality of life for local residents.
To ensure the project's success, the Vice Chairman urged the investors and construction units to mobilize maximum resources and implement scientific construction management. He stressed the importance of strictly adhering to project schedules, ensuring labor safety, and maintaining high construction quality. Furthermore, he highlighted the necessity of rigorous compliance with legal regulations, particularly those concerning environmental protection and the preservation of ecological landscapes.
Upon completion, the project will be instrumental in developing high-quality tourism products and diversifying the province's tourism offerings. By stimulating growth in services, trade, and tourism, it is expected to create a significant ripple effect that attracts further investment. This will gradually establish a new "growth pole" for the region, enhancing regional connectivity and forging an effective link between coastal tourist destinations and the iconic O Loan Lagoon.
Xuan Thien Group provided funding to help the province overcome the aftermath of natural disasters.
On this occasion, demonstrating its social responsibility, Xuan Thien Group donated 5 billion VND to Dak Lak province to support natural disaster relief efforts and local community welfare.
