On October 21st, the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and ActionAid Vietnam Organization (AAV) had a working session on the project “Restoration of food security and supporting livelihood for rural community affected by drought at the Central Highlands” in order to consult and deploy the project in the Central Highlands region. Mr. Nguyen Thai Anh –FAO Coordinator in Viet Nam as well as representatives of Departments, sectors, communal People’s Committee of Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Gia Lai provinces participated in the meeting.

On October 19th, the Provincial Party Standing Committee’s delegationled by Permanent Deputy Secretary Pham Minh Tan worked with Krong Bong district’s Party Committee on the implementation of socio-economic development, ensuring national security and defense, building the Party, building political system in the first nine months as well as in last months of 2016. Before the meeting, the delegation had the reality check at routes of provincial road no. 9 as well as investigated the new rural construction at Hoa Thanh commune, Krong Bong district.

The Provincial Steering Committee on combating smuggling, commercial frauds and counterfeit goods (the Provincial Steering Committee 389) held a preliminary conference on combating smuggling, commercial fraud, goods counterfeiting in the first nine months of 2016 and raise solutions for the rest of the year on the afternoon of October 17. The conference was chaired by Mr. Pham Thai – Director of Department of Industry and Trade, Deputy Head of the Provincial Steering Committee 389.

On October 17, a working delegation of the Provincial Party Committee led by Mr. Y Bier Nie – Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People’s Council had a meeting with the party committee of Krong Nang district with the aim of inspecting the implementation of socio-economic task, security national defense maintenance, Party and political system building over the past nine months as well as setting tasks, orientations of the 4th quarter.

On the morning of October 17th, Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) reviewed the socio-economic development and national security and defense into the first half of October, 2016 under the chairmanship of Mr. Pham Ngoc Nghi - Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of PPC.

On October 6, Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) held a meeting under the chair of Vice Chairman Nguyen Tuan Ha to discuss the plan for preparations and implementation of the Tourism Program “Heritage Journey” at the 6th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival in combination with Central Highland’s Gong Culture Festival in 2017.
