On the morning of December 8th, 2016, Dak Lak Department of Investment and Planning in collaboration with the Assistance Center for Small and Medium-Sized Enterprises in the Central region and the Top Olympia Management Joint Stock Company held a training program entitled “Improving capacity of officials in supporting small and medium-sized enterprises” for participants from Departments, sectors, People’s Committees of districts, town, city and the Business Association in Dak Lak province.

A working delegation of the Steering Committee for the Central Highlands (the Steering Committee) region, led by Mr. Dieu Kre – Member of Communist Party of Viet Nam’s Central Committee (CPVCC) cum Standing Deputy Head of the Steering Committee on November 30th worked with Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee on the socio-economic development, process of ensuring economic and defense, Party building work in Dak Lak province as well as its proposals and recommendation in order to report to the central government.

Dak Lak Department of Planning and Investment (DPI) revealed that investment attraction of the province in 2016 has achieved positive changes compared with 2015. There is an increase of investors coming to the province to learn about and register for their investment over the same period last year.

On November 28th, Permanent Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee Nguyen Hai Ninh chaired a working session on investment opportunities in Dak Lak province with the Central Group Vietnam’s delegation leading by Mr. Tran Thanh Hai – legal VP Central Group Vietnam. The attendees were leaders of PPC’s Office, Departments, sectors and Buon Ma Thuot city People’s Committee.

On November 18th, Dak Lak Department of Education and Training held a ceremony to mark the 34th anniversary of Vietnam Teachers’ Day (November 20th) with the attendance of Secretary of Provincial Party Committee Eban Y Phu, Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Committee cum Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee as well as representatives of Central Highlands Steering Committee, Vietnam Fatherland front Committee of Dak Lak province and provincial departments, sectors and unions.

In the afternoon of November 9th, South African Ambassador in Viet Nam Kgomotso Ruth Magau led a working delegation in company with Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry (VCCI) paid a courtesy visit to Dak Lak province. Receiving and working with the delegation were Mr. Tran Quoc Cuong – Member of Party Central Committee cum Deputy Secretary of Provincial Party Secretary, Mr. Nguyen Tuan Ha – Vice Chairman of Provincial People’s Committee and leaders of provincial departments and sectors. This activity was belonged to a seminar entitled “Promoting Vietnam – South Africa trade, investment and tourism” held by the VCCI in combination with the Embassy of South Africa on November 10th.
