The above information was affirmed by Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Committee (PPC) Pham Ngoc Nghi at a dialogue with enterprises held by the PPC on January 19th. The workshop had participation of Mr. Y Bier Nie – Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the provincial People’s Council, Mr. Nguyen Hai Ninh – Alternate member of the Party Central Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the PPC, representatives of Departments, sectors, Dak Lak Provincial Enterprise Association, and nearly 300 enterprises across the province.

On the afternoon of January 12th, a working delegation of the Law Committee of the National Assembly (NA) led by Mrs. Tran Thi Dung – Deputy Head of the NA’s Committee had a meeting with the Provincial People’s Committee (PPC) in relation to survey of performing law on legal aid.

The Vietnam-Japan Friendship Association (VJFA) of Dak Lak province convened its seventh congress for the second tenure on January 10th to assess the operations the associations had conducted in 2016 and orientations in 2017. Present at the event were Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee Vo Van Canh; Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial Union of Friendship Organizations Dinh Tien Dung; Chairwoman of Dak Lak Provincial VJFA and members of VJFA’s Executive Committee as well as representatives of its branches.

On January 11th, the Workshop “Viet Nam Elephant Management” was organized by Vietnam Administration of Forestry (Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development – MARD) - VNFOREST in coordination with Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee and Animals Asia in Buon Ma Thuot City. Present at the Workshop were Mr. Cao Chi Cong - Deputy Director General of VNFOREST, Dr. Tuan Bendixen - Vietnam Director for Animals Asia, Mr. Nguyen Hoai Duong – Director of Dak Lak Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, representatives from provinces having elephant conservation projects across the country, international organizations, relevant Departments and sectors and over 30 top elephant conservation international experts.

On December 29th, Mr. Y Giang Gry Nie Knong – Vice Chairman of Dak Lak Provincial People’s Committee chaired a meeting with businesses to approve the program of the specialized Exhibition – Fair of Coffee as well as to call for funding and encouraging society participation in several activities related to the 6th Buon Ma Thuot Coffee Festival and the Central Highlands Gong Culture Festival 2017 in the presence of leaders of relevant Departments, sectors and enterprises.

Cu M’gar district held the Festival of Sculpture, Weaving and traditional musical Instruments making in 2016 on December 20th.
