As part of the visit and working trip to the Lao People's Democratic Republic, the high-level delegation of Dak Lak Province held a meeting and extended New Year greetings to the authorities of Savannakhet Province.
On April 4, the working delegation of the Standing Committee of the Dak Lak Provincial Party Committee, led by Comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province, visited, extended Bunpimay New Year greetings, and worked in Savannakhet Province.
Receiving and working with the delegation were Comrade Davone Xaysoulien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Government Committee of Savannakhet, along with representatives of relevant departments, agencies, and sectors.

At the meeting, leaders of the two localities reviewed the traditional friendship and special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos in general, and between the two provinces in particular.
Comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong emphasized that the cooperative relationship between Dak Lak and Savannakhet is an invaluable asset, nurtured through the efforts of generations of leaders and people from both localities.
On behalf of the leadership of Dak Lak Province, Comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong provided an overview of the province's potential and strengths, particularly in the fields of high-tech agriculture, renewable energy, and the development orientation of transportation infrastructure connectivity. He expressed hope that in the near future, the two provinces would strongly restore cooperative activities, deepening the relationship with more practical, effective, and substantive programs.

Speaking at the meeting, Comrade Davone Xaysoulien, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee and Chairman of the Provincial Government Committee of Savannakhet, expressed his delight at the visit of the Dak Lak delegation. Providing information on the local situation, the leadership of Savannakhet Province stated that by 2025, the GDP is expected to achieve an impressive growth rate of 8%.

Currently, Savannakhet is focusing on leveraging its role as a gateway on the East-West Economic Corridor through the planning of dry port systems and special economic zones. Comrade Davone Xaysoulien affirmed that Savannakhet Province always values and will create all favorable conditions to promote investment cooperation and trade relations with Dak Lak Province in the new phase.
In the warm and friendly atmosphere of the early days of the Bunpimay New Year, Comrade Y Giang Gry Nie Knong presented meaningful gifts from the Provincial Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Dak Lak Province to the leadership of Savannakhet Province.
